Now in its second year, our MOBO awards selections process gives us the chance to reflect on the year that was. Erik Buell starting new racing company |

Erik Buell is leaving the company he founded and Harley-Davidson to establish a new independent motorcycle race shop.
More than a month after Harley-Davidson announced it will discontinue the Buell Motorcycle brand, Buell's founder and former chairman and chief technical officer is establishing Erik Buell Racing in East Troy, Wis.
Erik Buell Racing will supply race-use-only parts for Buell motorcycles and perform race preparation services for engines and motorcycles. Harley-Davidson will give Erik Buell Racing license to build and sell race-only motorcycles based on the Buell 1125R. ... [Read More]

Harley-Davidson shutting down Buell |

Harley-Davidson is discontinuing the Buell product line of motorcycles and seeking buyers for the recently acquired MV Agusta.
The Motor Company announced the news in its third quarter 2009 report Oct. 15. Worldwide Harley-Davidson retail sales dropped 21.3% over the quarter compared to the same period in 2008.
