Buell Blast Title issues
I thought I had joined this forum over a year ago, but it must have been a different Buell forum.
I bought my daughter a brand new 2002 Buell Blast from a gentleman in Houston in July of 2015.
The bike had 25 miles on it. The story was a friend of a friend had won the bike years ago and just left it sitting in his garage. The guy I bought the bike from bought it from him, took it to Harley shop and got the carb cleaned out and got it running. I felt like I paid slightly too much for a bike that old, but felt it was a great deal for a new bike.
Anyway, the went to the county courthouse to try and title it with the documents he signed over to me only to find out the title I had was the Manufacturer's title(some call it a MSO). The bike had never been titled. I returned the documents to the seller requesting a transferable title. Last month, after over a year of excuses I asked him to return the documents to me as I had lost patience with him not getting me a title.
So I have a nice little yellow Buell that I can't title. I have had people tell me they have gotten titles for vehicles from other states then brought them to Texas to transfer.
Does anybody have any ideas how I can resolve this?
Should I just part out a perfectly good bike and try to recoup some of my money that way?
The thing that has bothered me most is that my daughter has lost her initial interest in learning to ride. I feel this is all my fault.
I know I am new to the forum. I know this sounds like some kind of scam, but I am not trying to sell anything or asking for monetary help. I am just making one last effort to get the bike titled.
Thanks in advance.
