Hello everyone, I finally bought a motorcycle and it happens to be a 2001 Thunderbolt S3T. I had test ridden a '99 back in '99 and really liked it but didnt' have the cash then. I am really looking forward to this bike and hopefully there are others with knowledge of this bike on the forum.

I have a 2000 s3t. I love it. Ride it just about as much as the Roadking. Only a couple thousand miles difference on the odometers. 17000. Only changes I did was Forcewinder intake and Vance and Hines exhaust. No remap, doesn't ping or pop or anything. Runs great. 50mpg. It has had regular service and I have never had problems with it. Not like so many others I read about on these forums. The only difficulty I had was getting the preload on the rear shock set. I am actually a little light for it and had to go all the way down with it. Great lean angle, I love scraping those pegs. Longest trip was 400 miles in a day and I had no monkey butt or sore back. And I have had back surgery. Take care of it, it will take care of you.
