Name is George, I live in a suburb of Dallas, TX. Been here to long.
i'm old enough to know better, young enough to still enjoy it.
I've owned 3 previous rice burners, Honda cb90, suzuki650e, kawasaki zr7.
Now i own a 2007 Buell XB12STT, which i bought 1 year ago this month. I say this without reservation, I enjoy this bike. I get what Erik Buell is doing. After all who needs to do 160 mph. I ride this bike to work, i'm averaging around 51 mpg. Work is 36 miles round trip. Besides the gas mileage, this bike is just fun to ride. The only maintenance that has been done is an oil change. Other than that, i just get on it and ride with a wide grin.

Do i own an Aprillia? No i don't. Have i looked at them? Yes.
Favorite ride? Any time i ride.

Going to Maine and Canada soon and maybe to WOmen's AMA convention in Col this Summer.

Love to ride but am short hence the new interest in Blast!!!

Want to sell my Piaggio since it is too tall! Darn it!! Fun to ride in these Mountains.

Good for you Jesse- I wish I had a bike at you age!! This may be my last bike as I am short and not as strong as I used to be so I want to have something I can control well- the Blast will fill the bill I believe. I have had several bikes and now have a GW trike for long trips with my Motor Maid riding friends and Southern Crusier ones. What cloor is your Blast? I bet you like it!! I'll let you know if I get one as it may be a while as I have a trip to Maine and to Canada coming up soon and I won;t have time to get it before that. Stay Safe! Joan

My name is Tj. I am brand new to the world that is motorcycling. Ive long been intrigued and have finally decided to get in. I am currently deployed with the ARMY and will be home next month. After countless midnight hours of research and the help of my buddy here (harley lifer) I decided to get an 08 Firebolt Xb12r, the black and red. I am from Ohio and will be learning there and then Im moving to LA so the Buell will fit right in on those crazy streets. Everybody stay safe, and have a great day!

Hey Folks!
I'm Josh, Mr.Joshua or "TheLast929" everywhere else on the web!
I live in "The Valley". If you're asking which valley, well it's THE valley also known as The San Fernando Valley. The birth place of The Strip Mall may have been Kansas City, but we perfected/ruined it! We are the home to the original "Valley Girl" and the world wide leading producer and exporter of adult material.
All around us is great riding. GMR & the 2 to the East, Ojai/33 to the West, Tha Malibu Alps to the South and way to many to list to the North.
I've been a solid street rider for 12 years and a part time rider including dirt for a handfull before that.
I currently have over 10 pinks for 2 or 3 wheeled toys.
Just picked up my FIRST non Big 4 Japanese bike.
A 2001 Buell Blast. I laugh when I say it too! A bit different than my CBR. :D
I don't really have a dream bike, but I usually love what ever I'm riding at the time. One of my favorites is my old school CT70 that I threw a 125cc motor into. Yeah, it moves!
My favorite riding location is the St. Anthony Sand Dunes in Eastern Idaho.
See ya around!

Name is Mark, just bought a new '08 1125R once the announcement came that HD was shutting down Buell. I had a '96 S2-T sevaral years ago and loved it, put over 40K miles on it. Currently have a '99 Busa, '05 DRZ-400SM and this black beauty. I've been riding since i was 10 or 11 and this is pobably my 30th bike (or more) including off and on-road rides. i'm 39 years young and i'm active duty Air Force for 21 years now. I live in Alexandria, VA at the current moment and some of my favorite places to ride these days are Deal's Gap, hwy 50 in West Virginia, and any super-moto track within 300 miles, ha. I also enjoyed riding in Northern Japan during my three years there even if i was on a HD Sportster 1200.

Rode all over North America for 28 years and sold my last machine three years ago. The recent news dragged me back to snag a new XB12XT sitting there at a handsome discount. Getting to where maybe it's the last bike I own now. I can live with that.

50 years old in Red Deer, Alberta.

G'day. I'm Leigh and im a 30 year old boy from Australia. Been riding motocross bikes all my life. 4 stroke and 2 stroke. Never owned or been interested in road bikes up untill recently. Just decided one day that it was time for a change. Wanted something different. Would really love a Screamin Eagle V-Rod but unfortunately way out of my price league. Not really interested in jap bikes. Started looking at Buell's and instantly fell in love. I had to have one. Week later I was the proud owner of an '05 XB12s Lightning. Black and gold. Absolutely awsome all round bike. It's very small and agile with a nice riding position and sounds tough as nails. The low to mid-range power is awsome. Very similar to the '98 Kawasaki KX500 2 stroke I used to own. Little bit scary at high speeds though. Tends to lift the front wheel slightly when going over small rises on the road at around 200ks per hour. You really have to hold on tight. Had it for 3 weeks and have allready done over a 1000ks on it.

I bought a red Buell Blast new in 2000 so I've had it 10 years now and it's been very good to me. I used to have the Harley dealership maintain it but since they quit selling Buell's they no longer repair them either so I have to rely on friends (like you) for repair advice.

I live in Florida, love riding along the ocean, have ridden all my life but the Buell is the first bike I've owned and I love it. I've gone on Harley poker runs and my Blast has had no trouble keeping up with the big boys.

I joined this group to get maintenance/repair advice.

BABY HUEY
05-23-2010, 12:01 PM
Howdy, BABY HUEY (Dave) here. I am a person who has retired, bought the farm and put myself out to pasture. I am 66 years old and this year in January, I bought a bright red Buell 1125cr because I could. I currently own a 96 Buell Thunderbolt, a 2002 V-Rod (a project bike that runs well), a 2003 V-Rod (my prime ride), and a Chineese made 49cc motorscooter (a fun toy) in addition to the 1125cr. The 1125cr is a real kick to ride and the power is absolutely amazing. I have owned small bikes, motorscooters, and mopeds in the past, but I truly started riding in 2003 when I bought the V-Rod.

I ride any time that I get a chance to, and I enjoy riding. For the past six years I have been to Sturgis, S.D., Daytona, FL., Galveston, TX., Austin, TX., and numerous other rallies and group meetings, and I have ridden in 40 of the 48 states of the continental United States. I can not pick a favorite ride for I enjoy them all. I enjoy crusing and just going places on the bike. I take trips that take me away from home for as much as 45 days from one to three times each year.

I have had the nickname since I was in Vietnam in 1967 and 1968, I was a helicopter pilot and I flew the Huey, but I was given the nickname because of my actions, strength, and size. I was named after the cartoon character that ran around with Uncle Scrouge.

Location is San Diego, CA. Rode in college and a little with my buddies in the military, then nothing until the last kid moved out of the house. Last year, my wife and I finally acted on a dream we'd had since we were newlyweds about 34 years ago and bought a brand new Harley Heritage Softail. Then, she wanted to try riding her own bike, so we shopped around and found an older 883 Sporty. But she decided she really liked the Heritage better and I couldn't manage more than a couple of hours at a time on the Sporty so am now buying an '09 Uly. If you have a Buell, I think a Sportster's kind of redundant so will probably sell that soon. Can't wait to take that first long ride on the Uly. I still can't get over how well that suspension soaks up the bumps and, unlike the 883, you don't have to press hard to get the thing leaning over into a turn and, unlike the Heritage, you have plenty of angle to lean to.
