I purchased a 2008 and a 2009 ullysses in rapid succession and started riding them with my girl pretty seriously right away. Four months and 14000 miles later I find I have no choice but to sell them. I have replaced both clutches, one exhaust header, a header stud, thee exhaust clamps, two weel bearings, two transmition belts, both mufflers rusted externaly and had trouble with the 2009's fuel injection. These mechanical failures amounted to being stranded by the highway six times, often in very remote areas with no cell- fone coverage (I live in South America). The only dealer in the country finaly made up excuses and no longer honours they'r warranty. I was wondering whether any other owners have begun to doubt Buell's reliability and quality of manufacure? I love the bikes, I am looking at the Moto Guzzy Stelvio, the BMW R1200GS and even the Ducati Hipermotard, and I see why I bought the Buells, theyr concept design is superior. If they coud just go for more than 2000 miles without a serious mechanical problem they would be allround superior. Opinions?

Hi George..I'm Curious. Do you still have your Buell?
I'm rather new with the Ulysses, but on other lists, and this is not what we see. All these problems...
Where are you from? Do you have a trustfull dealer mechanic??
