Hello, My name is Kirk and I'm new to the forum. I'm in a sinister quest to buy and modify a Blast. Here's where I'm at. I'd like to Scrambler the Blast. Things I've already investigated: Renthal bars, Works rear shock, Longer fork tubes and internals, Custom bent exhaust and Jardine can, Uly aftermarket skid plate (with slight modifacation), Uly belt guard (slightly modified), MX break away levers, Uly hand guards and mirrors. Here's the real question- TIRES! Not many choices. Kenda and Shinko make a 3.00-16 tire- can I get it to fit on those Buell rims without popping the bread on the fire roads. I can make a bracket for the front frender, but I was thinking of just removing it and mounting a Supermoto fender.
Reality is I can pick up te bike for around $1500. The works Shock is the most expensive single piece of the project- BUT I was thinking of swapping the carb with a Mikuni 40 flat slide.
