just bought a used 07 blast with 1200 miles on it for my girlfriend to learn to ride and after 30 minutes of her practicing the engine started making a ticking noise, anyone have any ideas? seems to still run ok other than the noise.

I'd say it just the harley side of it speaking. I noticed the same thiing when i bought mine. just a simple thumper. not a Japanese high tech engine. They all make the same noise

More info would be helpful. Where is the ticking sound coming from? Top, bottom etc. When was the last time the bike was serviced?
