I'm right there with you Denden, I live in the Seattle WA. area, so you have to love your bike a lot to want to ride it sometimes (a ride in the rain takes some courage out here; it's construction time). Luckily, I do love my bike that much, and we got some sun this weekend, so you know I'll be riding as long and far away as I can!!!

Oh congratulations for your new ride.... good luck for the journey of you and your bike... don't ride if the weather forecast isn't great.... the road may be slippery...

Hey everyone.* just joined tonight.* new to this whole bloggin thang!!* Don't let the weather stop you from riding unless there is snow and ice.* Cold is nothin but a thing.* Snowmobilers do it, why not us, right!* I bought an 08 Ulysses in april last year.* I originally went in to get the new Fat Bob but the Ulysses was hauntin me and I left with it instead.* I have riden over 7000 miles since then.* I love my bike!!!!:D I rode to thunder beach in Panama City Beach last year.* about 50,000 bikes there.* Ride was fun till I got there.* Recommend turnin around and going somewhere else instead of trying to ride through all that traffic in the blistering heat.* Let me know what you all have been up to and about all your adventures. Hey Bikergirl!***** First off let me say that it really doesn't matter what you ride. Enjoying what you ride is most important.* What you ride is really personality, and fit driven, like what makes a person choose a particular kind of jeans. I grew up riding dual sport for the majority of my time in a saddle, since about age 8.* I have owned several different kinds of bikes as well as 2 and 4 stroke.* I have riden street as well.* My personal style is more of a cross-bred style of ride.* I also have a passion for all things American. Tools, burgers, Sub-sandwhiches, Cammo, Tractors, I'm sure you can see where I am going with this.*:)

I have wanted another HD for years. But my problem is I need a bike that can do multi duty. I don't ride dirt like I use to but I try to find some every time I ride. I chose my Ulysses because it is American, it can go where I want, when ever I want. It is fun in the twisties and is comfortable all day. It is easy to maintain and gets great gas milage for commuting (about 50 MPG on a cruise). It fits me well in style, size, performance, and it is just flatout fun to ride.

Durability seems great. I have over 7000 miles this year in all kinds of weather and the only thing I have had to replace is a set of tires and a small chicklet fuse under the seat that was faulty. The fuse may have cost me 50 cents, the meat was another matter but you get that with any performance style bike. Oh! it also came with a 2 year unlimited milage warranty.

If you are considering a Buell, it doesn't really matter what I tell you. Get set up for a test ride at your local dealer and see if one of their models fits your riding stye. There really is nothing nothing like a Buell out there. There a little rude, alot of attitude and cause grin addiction. Let me know how it goes, I would love to hear about it.

Thanks Rick! I know its all about feeling comfortable with what I am riding and I have been attracted to only a few bikes. I really enjoy the Buell Blast considering I am a beginner! But I have tested it out and I do think about it all the time. Thanks for your reply... if I have any other questions, I will be contacting you!

I hope some of what I told you will help. The Blast is a cool bike!! It can take you as far as you need to go adn at a premium price. I have never riden that modle but I would like to.

You said that oyu were a beginner, may I suggest you try the XB9 Lightning. Not as much to handle as the XB12 but is really a cool bike too. The lighning also has alot of color options to choose from.
