Hello: I'm new to Buell's (2003 XB9S Lightning) but have had many other bikes large and small.
I've spent about 6 hours on my bike and am just getting used to it....I finding cornering is something I'm having to learn all over again... it feels to me like the bike wants to fall 'into' the corner and I'm wrestling it back upright. If I lean my body out (as if to drag knee) the bike will corner very smoothly on its own, but that's not always practical. Did you other folks have a same first impression? It seems to me it may be the short wheelbase and large rear tire that contributes to this, I'm sure I'll get used to it but it's been a bit of a surprise.
This bike, although apparently tuned by the dealer before I purchased it, will stumble when you are just beginning to accelerate. For example I'm cruising along, or slightly decelerating, then as soon as I roll the throttle on just slightly I get a stutter and it missing a few beats...is this characteristic of the 2003 fuel injection systems?
Thanks!
