: Just in case it helps anyone with their horn/side stand

There were two electrical problems with my 2001 Blast when I got it:

1. The horn didn't work

2. The bike would stall in neutral with the side stand down as soon as the clutch was released.

First to troubleshoot was the horn, which we traced to a bad wire (the one that supplies power to the horn switch in the handlebars, black with yellow stripe). Being too lazy to run a wire from the battery/fuse box to the front of the bike, we simply spliced into the blue (I think) wire that supplies power to the running light, which is always on (but goes through the handlebar switch).

Miraculously, both problems were solved. It makes no sense to me whatsoever that a faulty horn wire would have any bearing on the side stand/clutch, but apparantly it does. I'm still not sure why; I was too cheap to purchase the shop manual.

Hope this helps somebody out there!!
