I have a 2001 Buell Lightning X1 and I laid it down the other week on a wet road. It was a stupid mistake and luckily I was not injured except for a few scratches and the bike didn't receive any scratches on the paint. Lucky me right? Anyway, to my question: does anyone know a good site to get the original parts? I'm looking for foot pegs, mirrors, and a tank cover.

Major bummer!! I have found that there are not a whole lot of tube frame parts out there. I have found a couple places though that have some things:

www.americansportbike.com

And of course there is the ever popular eBay, which I have noticed a lot of folks parting out there X1's, sad. Hope this helps

I've actually purchased from BuellParts.net a couple of times. They have great customer service (I had to e-mail and call about a few questions I had, and they got right back to me; in my opinion this is very rare to find), and I've always been able to find the parts I need/want for my Buell Lightning (aftermarket and stock).

I was having hard time looking for my Buell motorcycle parts... I tried above sources and I found what I needed... I definitely added those to my list... By the way, I also discovered JC Whitney to be also a great source of parts for our Buell motorcycle. I really thought that this site is only for cars but I was wrong... they also provide great parts for motorcycles....
