Default Pics of my Blast resurection and mods.

I wanted to post some pics of a 02 blast that I owned. It wouldn't let me in the gallary so I am posting them in here for the blast enthusiasts to see.

I bought this bike not running with a box of parts for $350. The first pics show it after I put most of the parts back on. No rear sub frame, handle bars, plastics, and the seat was cut and shaved. It had been wrecked and the previous owner had used the money to buy accessories instead of making repairs

I finished it after gathering the parts off eBay for about a year. I did some mods to it. Mods include a Vance and Hines exhaust that I added an additional badge to the other side so you can see it when it was leaning on the stand. Buell intake with a K&N filter. It was re-jetted and I was told that it had been bore out to 503cc. I moved the horn from the front of the frame to behind the windscreen. I think it gave it more of a slick look with it not hanging out in front of the bike, horns are only used to make the dot happy anyways. I moved the rear brake reservoir forward to the inside just below the carb. I didn’t have any problems with the heat affecting it. I like the look of the exposed belt so I removed the lower belt guard and shaved off the tabs. I painted the frame flat black and used sunset orange plastics. Added a tall seat. A new drive belt and Pirelli tires finished it off.

When I first bought this bike I thought it was the biggest p.o.s. on the road but after working on it for a while I started to appreciate its character. Unfortunately this bike was just too small for me and owning 3 others it didn’t have a place in my garage. Although I sold it for a profit I still miss riding it.
