2000 Buell Blast backfires and wont idle

2000 Buell Blast - it had been sitting and wouldnt start; i replaced the boot & cleaned the carb (boiled in lemon juice) now itll start but it wont run/idle if i let off the throttle. it also backfired a few times when i revved the engine.

any suggestions appreciated.

Smile backfire idling problems

Drill out the idle mixture cap on the bottom of the carb and richen mixture, see online instructions, elsewhere.

I am totally agree with sfox, you should have to see online instructions, or take it to the bike shop, it is the best way to solve your problem.
