Possibly clutch replacement
Hello all, I am a new rider as of this summer. I purchased a used 2007 Buell Blast and I knew the clutch was worn, and unfortunately I was on the highway and here is what happened:
Hit the throttle, but no matter how much I revved it wouldn't accelerate. I pulled over thinking I overestimated my gas, put it on reserve and started her back up. The clutch wasn't grabbing, but I was able to get moving, but no matter how much throttle it still wouldn't accelerate. I would shift up and down and nothing changed. With the clutch fully out I could move the bike in any gear.
I read about a possibly transmission issue, but with low mileage (7000) and the bike not being too old I don't think that's what it is. Fairly sure its the clutch. Before going and doing a full replacement are there any tests or ways of knowing if it is the clutch that went out?
