A lot of these bikes look really awesome. I think I like the last one in yellow the best. That exhaust pipe ends up in a strange place though.

Here is another custom Buell Cafe Racer that I found.

I like seeing all these bikes to get ideas of things I could do with my own eventually.

2 started as buell x1's, the last one I'm actually not sure about. The one thing i would change to the yellow one is add a bikini fairing...

Many of these bikes look like they are very far from what they started as. That's cool but it also makes me feel like they are a bit out of reach for me to do myself. Maybe over time I could pull it off.

Are Buells often customized like this, or are they done at the same rate as most other bikes? Do you think there is a lot of after market parts that are offered on most models?

I beg to differ, i think it looks better without it, the design is just super clean how it looks right now. To each their own.

the color scheme's are cool definitely not cheap to take it from ideal to reality, have to get some professionals on board to approve it all and make sure people will like it all.

depends on how far you want to go. There are many companies out there that sell tanks and seats, which right away will give you a distinct look. You decide your own level of involvement. Not every build has to tear apart then egine, stretch the swing arm and do a sport bike conversion front end.

the metallic yellow x1 has had very little work done to it compared to the white x1 below it.
